Be prepared to waste a lot of time.
For all the hype it is buggy as heck- things that are rendered perfectly fine suddenly 'vanish' when uploaded to Shapeways- hours of tweaking is hours wasted; trying to get someone from Sketchup to help is also time consuming- and they expect me to pay for the 'pro' version with all of these errors?

Sketch-up is great for projects. I use sketch-up for a lot of projects, and It's GREAT! I get As on my projects when using Sketch-up and I love it. :) Pros: All of the choices. Cons: A little bit laggy. Somewhat difficut to understand

Amazing for a free software and good enough for beginners & experts alike..
As someone who is used to advanced CAD software, Google SketchUp was a step back. I found it quite disconcerting for the first hour of use which is nothing but expected with trying different CAD software, but I soon got to learn how it worked and from there made leaps and bounds of progress at what I wanted to accomplish including things I found impossible even in autoCAD Civil 2014 which costs £5000+. It became very easy to use once I understood the follow me tool. Is it better than the expensive CAD softwares? No. But for a free software it is amazing and gets a good rating from me.

Easy to use and is free which is very helpful for students who are training. Easy to use. It is free which is very helpful for students who are training their skills. Also very good for 3D presentations. Cons: its adaptability to smaller resolution laptops or net books. Common Bugs which causes it to lag.

my review of sketch up pro 8. ive used sketch up pro 8, its like pro 7 but i cannot install the podium 1.7.3 in pro 8 un like in pro 7 i can use plug ins like podium...pls help me solve this problem..thankx
good COULD BE BETTER. I think it was OK but it never made me want to stay on it like other software does. Building was fun but when you are done there is nothing to it all you have to do is send it to google earth. Altogether a ok software needs a little work. Pros: building was fun OK software good for beginners. Cons: there are no cons about it, it just needs work
